Geochronological Evidence Inferring Carbonate Compensation Depth Shoaling in the Philippine Sea after the Mid-Brunhes Event

چکیده
Carbonate compensation depth (CCD) is an important factor in the global deep ocean and carbon cycling; however, its variabilities have not been well documented previous studies. In this study, we investigate two deep-sea cores collected from Philippine Sea terms of geochronology geochemical properties over past ~900 kyr. The principle results are as follows: (1) Two magnetozones determined sediment’s magnetic records, which can be correlated with Brunhes Matuyama chrons geomagnetic polarity timescale. (2) age models refined by tuning Ba Sm intensities studied to ice volume, estimated sediment accumulation rate ~4 mm/kyr. (3) Chalky mud bulk δ13C record vary abruptly at ~430 ka imply 200 m shoaling CCD. Based on these results, a close link inferred between marine productivity, aeolian dust, CCD changes, major change that occurred during Mid-Brunhes Event. Therefore, propose sedimentary processes evidence climate change, providing unique window observe interactions various environmental systems.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
The influence of event attributes on tourist’s loyalty: Evidence from the Ashoura event in Yazd City
Many studies have found that the perceived authenticity of cultural and religious events affects event satisfaction and loyalty. Little is currently known about how perceived authenticity is affected by the facilities, such as food and the availability of information, which are independent determinants of satisfaction and loyalty. This study aims to examine the antecedents of event loyalty. Que...
متن کاملDepth dependence of wind-driven, broadband ambient noise in the Philippine Sea.
In 2009, as part of PhilSea09, the instrument platform known as Deep Sound was deployed in the Philippine Sea, descending under gravity to a depth of 6000 m, where it released a drop weight, allowing buoyancy to return it to the surface. On the descent and ascent, at a speed of 0.6 m/s, Deep Sound continuously recorded broadband ambient noise on two vertically aligned hydrophones separated by 0...

1 The PETM represents one of the largest and most abrupt greenhouse warming events in Earth’s history. Marine and terrestrial records document a global >2.5‰ negative carbon isotope excursion (CIE; refs 1–3) coincident with global mean surface ocean warming of >4 °C (ref. 4) and geochemical and sedimentological evidence for ocean acidification5,6. Collectively, these lines of evidence suggest a...
